What is myBatik Magazine?


"myBatik is a FREE quarterly magazine, covering batik-related news, issues and events in and outside Malaysia. Each issue introduces readers to the history of batik, the work of new and well-known artists and interviews with batik artists. Dedicated to providing coverage of batik artists working in both local and international settings, myBatik also features inside stories on targeted batik related organizations, events and successful batik entrepreneurs. myBatik is distributed extensively both on local and international front, providing you with a highly-effective channel to advertise and promote your products and services throughout Malaysia and worldwide. Currently myBatik magazine is targeted to be distributed FREE through selected art galleries, cafes & restaurants, airports and government offices.

Festive Issue Advertising Rates and Introduction of myBatik Shopping Guide Greetings from MYBATIK.

Dear Friends,

Greeting from myBatik.

In conjunction with the coming Hari Raya issue of our magazine, we would like to inform you of our LATEST advertising rates for the coming festive season.

Concurrently, we are also pleased to introduce the "myBatik shopping guide 2009" which is estimated to be released next year. For your information, this coming third issue (August-September-October) will have two different covers. One cover will be graced by our current Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah and the other cover will feature Malaysia's top 3 models indirectly representing the multi-racial communities in our country. The three top models referred to are- Amber chia (representing the Chinese community), Tengku Azura (from the Malay community) Deborah Henry (representing the Indian community). Deborah was Ms. Malaysia/World for 2007.

This issue will also be dedicated to the three main coming festivals namely - The National Day ( August ) , Fasting Month (September ) and Hari Raya Aidilfitri ( October ). In this edition Datin Rosmah will share with readers her personal thoughts about Batik and Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Apart from that we will also feature our Minister of Tourism, who is going to share, his opinions on the important role of Batik in Malaysia's tourism Market.
